Millfield Youngsters to Quiz Local Euro-MP

Graham will be discussing the importance of democracy and voting with Millfield pupils

Sixth-form students from Millfield School will have a chance to grill the local Euro-MP this evening, when Lib Dem Graham Watson speaks to students at an event organised by the school's Language Department.

The MEP is a qualified linguist, and will mainly speak about how language skills can open doors around the world. However, he will also take questions on a range of issues such as the environment, Britain's role in Europe and young people in politics, and will be interviewed for the School's radio podcast.

Watson said;

"I always look forward to school visits, as students often offer the widest range of views on an issue and the liveliest debates.

"All these youngsters will currently be thinking about their future, and some may even be voting in the coming election, so I hope to impart whatever wisdom I can!"
