As Bristol becomes England's first cycling city, with investment in dedicated cycling lanes, better facilities and more training for children, Bristol's Lib Dem MEP Graham Watson welcomed the scheme,

Commenting earlier today Graham Watson said;

"As a keen cyclist I welcome these plans. More people getting on their bikes is great for the environment - reducing both pollution and traffic congestion. In addition cycling is a great way to keep fit especially with our busy lives. I know how successful the bicycle rental scheme has been in Paris and I'm sure it can also work well here in Bristol."
