"If it ain't broke don't fix it", says Graham Watson MEP

Welcoming the decision today that the European Commission will allow the UK to use its imperial measures system indefinitely, Graham Watson MEP, Leader of the Liberal Group in the European Parliament, said:

"Today's decision is welcome as it correctly points out that using pounds, ounces and the like have absolutely no adverse effect on the Single Market. If it ain't broke, don't fix it and it is clear that British citizens are perfectly happy using their cherished imperial system."
