ALDE Member becoming Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Romania

The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) congratulates its Vice-President, Adrian-Mihai Cioroianu, on his new post as Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Romania.

Graham WATSON, Leader of the ALDE Group: "He was an excellent vice-president in the ALDE Group and I am sorry to lose someone who made such a successful debut in a European parliamentary career. Should he ever return to the European Parliament I am sure he will make a hugely valuable contribution just as he will to the Council in his new position as Minister of Foreign Affairs."
